Our story
Dugas Woodworking is a Saint John, New Brunswick custom workshop focused on personalized pieces that are built around the customer’s idea, message, space, and intended use.
Projects may be decorative, useful, sentimental, business-related, or simply fun. From camp signs and crib boards to plaques, keepsakes, and novelty designs, the goal is to build something with local character.
How Funiture got its name
We are, by the way, the first and only makers of Funiture in Canada. The name began with a happy little accident: Rheal misspelled “furniture,” looked at the word, thought about it, and loved it.
“Makers of Funiture.” It made us laugh, it sounded like us, and it stuck. Furniture is useful. Funiture is useful too—it just comes with a little more personality and a reason to smile.
